Kentuckiana Pros is run by 16 Bit Bytes LLC, Georgetown, IN. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect and what we do with it.

What we collect

Unclaimed listings. We list local businesses using public business information: name, trade, town, phone number and website. A business can claim its listing by sending a claim request from its listing page, or can ask us to change or remove it. We act on those requests within 48 hours.
Business listing details. When a business adds a listing, we store what it gives us: name, trade, phone number, town or ZIP, areas served, website and description. These will be shown on the listing.
The business email address. We use it to contact the business about its listing. If the business buys a Sponsored spot or banner, we also use it for billing and support. It won't be shown on the listing.
Submissions. We store the contact name, contact email, and whether the business wants a Sponsored spot or banner.
Listing fix or remove requests (from "Fix or remove this listing"): which listing, whether you want it fixed or removed, your name, email address and message. They're emailed to our team inbox like any contact message.
Messages sent through our contact form: your name, email address and message. They're emailed to our team inbox. We use your email address only to reply to you.

How we verify businesses

Verification is by email only: we use the business email address to confirm the business is yours before making any changes. We won't verify by phone.

What we don't do

We never sell phone numbers, leads or data. We don't take a cut of any job.

Services we use

Cloudflare hosts this site and its database. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver the pages and keeps request logs (which can include IP addresses). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by people, not spam bots. When you send a form, your IP address goes to Turnstile for that check.
Stripe will handle payments for Sponsored spots and banners once paid spots open. We won't see or store card numbers.

Who sees your data

Only 16 Bit Bytes staff and the tools we use to run the site.

How long we keep it

Listings stay until they're removed.
Contact messages and listing fix or remove requests are kept for 12 months.
Sign-ups that are never verified are not published.

Cookies

This site doesn't set its own cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile, our spam check, processes signals such as your IP address, TLS fingerprint and browser user agent to tell people from bots, and may use cookies or local storage in your browser to keep the check working. It doesn't read what you type into our forms. Cloudflare uses these signals to detect and block bots and to improve Turnstile. See the Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

We haven't launched a newsletter. If we do, signing up will store your email address, and you can leave at any time.

Changes to this policy

We may update or change this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the date below.
